My name is Gabriela Méndez Fernández, I’m a spanish artist and I have been doing handmade jewels for more than ten years. I use several techniques, like right angle weave, peyote, herringbone, brick stich, soutache embroidery, bead embroidery, polymer clay, etc. I always love to learn new techniques, so I can combine them into my own style. I’m a perfectionist, so I do all my jewels with a lot of care, patience and I invest a lot of time in each piece to make a lasting, solid and beautiful jewel.
I combine several type of glass and other materials in my fused glass creations, so very hardly two pieces would look the same.
About my sculptures, they are OOAK (One Of A Kind), they are sculpted in polymer clay over a wire armature and without the use of any mold, so each piece is unique. They are registered in the International Art Doll Registry and each one comes with a certificate of authenticity.
I also take orders and comissions, so if you would like to order a special creation, don’t hesitate to contact me.
